The number of edentulous patients will grow to over 30 million in the next 15 years. Two trends have altered the practice of complete dentures - people are loosing their teeth later in life while 50% of those who are edentulous have been so at least 20 years. Consequently, new denture wearers are more esthetically demanding than past generations and replacement dentures will be fabricated on highly resorbed, poor quality residual ridges. While the difficulty of complete denture cases is increasing, the opportunities available today to obtain continuing education are decreasing. The majority of these courses are one-day lecture style formats. While lecture types of courses offer enthusiasm or an update for removable prosthodontics, little actual knowledge transfers to the operatory. CORE Dentistry has developed a comprehensive continuum focused on enabling a practitioner to plan and perform complete denture prosthodontics at its highest level. The majority of your time is spent on hands-on activities and CORE provides the patient.
